Build your services catalogue
Define the services your practice offers so jobs, quotes and client conversations stay consistent.
A clear services catalogue is the backbone of a well-run practice. By defining what you offer in Finye, you keep jobs consistent, make scoping easier and give your team and clients a shared vocabulary for the work you do.
Define your services
- Open Settings → Services (or the Services catalogue).
- Add each service with a clear name, such as Quarterly BAS or Annual Financials.
- Include a short description of what the service covers.
- Record any pricing or rate details your practice uses.
- Save and repeat for your full range of offerings.
Put the catalogue to work
Once your services are defined, link them to the work you deliver so everything ties together:
- Connect services to job templates so the right checklist applies automatically.
- Reference services when capturing leads to record what a prospect wants.
- Use services to keep client conversations and engagements consistent.
Keep it current
Review your catalogue periodically as your practice evolves. Retire services you no longer offer, add new ones as you expand, and refine descriptions so they reflect what clients actually receive. A tidy catalogue makes onboarding new staff easier, since they can see your full offering at a glance.
Make it the single source of truth
When everyone selects from the same catalogue rather than describing work in their own words, your jobs, quotes and reporting all line up. That consistency reduces confusion, speeds up scoping and strengthens how your firm presents itself to clients.
Tip: Build your catalogue around the handful of services that make up most of your revenue first, then add the long tail of occasional work later.
